Ok, get ready for an adventure of a lifetime…LIVE! I’ve never visited the Caribbean Islands, and I’ve never really experienced a top of the line cruise ship either. So, when Royal Caribbean asked if I’d like to do a never-been-done-before adventure, I naturally jumped out of my skin and said yes! Who wouldn’t!
So what makes this trip so different to so many other trips that I’ve done before? Well first of all, I’m bringing you all with me LIVE! This will be Royal Caribbean’s maiden voyage out of NYC with their new ship the ‘Anthem of the Seas’. We will be away for 12 nights exploring and Periscoping 5 of the 28 islands that make up the Caribbean. If only we could do all 28 right!
‘Periscope’ I hear you say?
For those of you not up with the latest in social media, Periscope is a live streaming app with over 13 million users in their first 7 months of launching. Live streaming is an amazing way to showcase an adventure and Royal Caribbean being so savy with social media have not only chosen me but the boys from High on Life to capture the adventure. That’s not all, Royal Caribbean are letting YOU steer the #ComeSeekLIVE adventures!! The #ComeSeekLive Periscope feeds will also broadcast on 100 digital billboards across New York City on subway units and various newsstands. This means you can watch the live broadcasts while drinking your coffee in NYC or while laying on your bed with your phone. You can also comment via Periscope and watch it come up on the billboards! A-MA-ZING!
So how do YOU steer the adventures?
Well it’s pretty simple, all you need to do is jump on the Periscope app, download if you haven’t already and then follow @RoyalCaribbean to watch the live streams from November 13. By doing this you will get a notification every time we go live. We will be exploring 5 Caribbean Islands, each with their own unique culture, food and charms. We will also be exploring every corner of the Anthem of the Seas, from indoor skydiving to surfing the flow-rider, robot bartenders to fine dining.
